Original Agenda

Minutes

Topic: For AJAXWorld, review proposed sign and proposed FAQ

Jon: Who will have booths?

Simon: Lightstreamer will have one and will be glad to show the sign

Ted: OpenLink not planning to have a booth at this time.

Simon: Sign and FAQ look fine to me.

Jon: Thomas Stoesser of SoftwareAG sent email saying the sign and FAQ look fine.

Chuck: Sign is fine for a 1.0 event. Going forward, need someone to redo the logo. Want to take the logo off of the green background.

Jon: Agree. In fact, we have logos where the graphic is off of the green background. One logo for light backgrounds and one logo for dark backgrounds.

Topic: Preparing for F2F meeting

Chuck, Simon, Jon, Joe, and David will all be attending

David: Need to register so we can provide food for you.

Ted: Up in the air about attending. Will probably put in a note about tentatively attending.

Jon: Maybe we can bring peanuts for people who don't register.

David: There are vending machines on 3rd floor.

Jon: Any comments about agenda? It's pretty much final, but if there are any key topics that we are missing, please speak up.

Topic: AJAXWorld draft press release

David: Anything that is stated incorrectly? Anything that we need to say that we aren't saying?

Simon: No.

Jon: Thomas Stoesser sent email saying the press release is fine.

David: Still waiting to hear back from Jeremy if they will provide a table for InteropFest.

Jon: How about allowing people who don't yet support the Hub to provide quotes about intention to support Hub?

Ted: But then there is no incentive to pass the test.

Jon: No one seems to like my looser approach, so I withdraw it.

David: How many companies pass today?

Jon: Five. SoftwareAG says they will soon. Dojo plans to support it. That would make 7.

David: When will press release go out? Monday of show?

Joe: Usually Monday. Could even be Tuesday.

Joe: I want final feedback by end of this week so I can start pre-flighting the press release under embargo with the press next week.

Joe: How about must provide intention to provide quote by end of this week, near-final version by Monday, and drop-dead final version of quote by end of day Tuesday next week. OK to provide quote even if you haven't completed engineering, but engineering must be completed by end of day Friday next week or we yank your company from press release.

Everyone: Sounds fair.

David: Anyone from press that we need to make special effort to reach out to? We will cast a fairly broad net as is.

(no response)

Simon: How to frame quotes?

Joe: Look at previous press releases for sample quotes. Mention how you are glad to pass the test and that you endorse the alliance.

Topic: Next time we talk is in NYC

David: Jon, how about reminding people about next phone call?

Jon: Yeah. No phone call in 2 weeks because that overlaps with AJAXWorld. Next time we get together is at F2F. See you all there.
