Closed Actions

When actions are completed, move the relevant bullet and contents into this section until everyone notices that the action has been completed. Periodically, we can clean out older closed actions.

Survey wiki page (i.e., Mobile Device APIs Survey)

  1. Update J2ME table, then update Requirements page - Jon
  2. Review the survey wiki page (i.e., Mobile Device APIs Survey) and add missing requirements - We need to go through the above wiki page to make sure that we haven't missed any requirements. This is a big task which is probably too much for one person. Therefore, we need to break down this assignment into pieces where different people volunteer for different sections of the document. Here is an initial breakdown (feel free to propose a different breakdown):
    1. W3C Jon
    2. OMA Nikunj
    3. Java (MSA/JSRs) Jon
    4. Windows Mobile Jon
    5. Vista Jon
    6. Opera Jon
    7. Google Gears Nikunj
    8. Loki Jon
    9. Nokia Series 60 Jon (based on what I could find on the Web on 2008-04-30)
    10. JavaScript native extensions Jon
    11. Apple iPhone Nikunj
    12. Location Aware Jon
    13. Motorola Jon
    14. Mozilla Jon
    15. NTT Docomo Jon
    16. KDDI Jon
    17. Vodafone MobileScript Jon

Use cases page (i.e., Mobile Device APIs Use Cases)

  1. Completed ---(Nikunj) Transfer application deployment models from requirements page to use cases page--- - (short task)
  2. Transfer Guillermo's application deployment model use cases - (short task) need to copy from Guillermo's email onto use cases wiki page (Jon)
  3. Identify key APIs for non-VF use cases - The VF use cases show which APIs are needed by each use cases. It would be good to do the same thing for the other use cases. Completed: Nikunj

Requirements page (i.e., Mobile Device APIs Requirements)

  1. Completed ---(Nikunj) Update Reqts page to reflect VF use cases---
  2. Add section on APIs we decided to exclude - (Jon says: I think it would be useful to have a section that lists some of the APIs that we purposely did not include in the requirements list and why.) Jon
  3. Completed ---(20080501 phone call) Device API properties and feature strings - Spurred by W3C request that we identify a set of feature strings that can be used to check for the existence of a particular API. We needed to discuss this topic, which we did at the 20080501 phone call.

Security page (i.e., Mobile Device APIs Security)

  1. (Jon) Schedule joint phone call with Security TF
  2. Merge Paddy's security and architecture document with existing security page - This task might be resolved via email. At this moment, here is the most recent email on the subject:

Objectives page (i.e., Mobile Device APIs Objectives)

  1. Review and make decisions on Nikunj's emails on Objectives -

Miscellaneous

  1. (Jon) Updates to docs per 2008-04-10 telecon - Need to make sure this action has been completed
